Arts North West, a dynamic organisation supporting arts and cultural development across the New England North West region, is seeking a passionate and skilled individuals to join our volunteer, skills-based board. We are specifically looking for someone with expertise in human resources (HR) and/or legal affairs to contribute to our mission of fostering creativity, community engagement, and cultural growth.

HR Expertise:
Strong HR skills are vital for shaping a positive organisational culture, managing policies, and supporting staff wellbeing. A board member with HR expertise would play a key role in advising on recruitment strategies, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a workplace that attracts and retains top talent. This expertise also ensures that Arts North West maintains best practices in staff development, training, and dispute resolution.Legal Expertise:
Legal knowledge is equally essential for guiding governance, risk management, and compliance. A board member with a legal background would help ensure Arts North West adheres to laws and regulations, mitigate potential risks, and provide insights into contracts, intellectual property, and other legal matters. This expertise supports the board in making informed decisions that safeguard the organisation's future.
