Taylah Maree – Professional Development: Branding + Marketing for Regional Creatives

Arts North West, in collaboration with Taylah Maree, a Gunnedah-based creative business coach and photographer, delivered a series of professional development workshops designed to empower regional creatives. These group mentoring sessions focused on creating branding and marketing strategies that reflected and celebrated regional identity.

Participants gained tools to build bespoke brands, craft invigorating marketing strategies, and embrace their unique "superpower" as regional creative business owners. They left equipped with practical tips, resources, and guidance to start implementing their dream branding right away.

As part of the series, Arts North West partnered with the UNE SMART Region Incubator to deliver a workshop in Armidale on Monday, 28th August, held at UNE SRI, NOVA on Faulkner Street.

The workshops covered:

  1. Branding – Building a creative brand, not just a business.

  2. Marketing – Marketing essentials tailored for regional creatives.

  3. Creative Business in a Regional Area – Embracing the advantages of running a small business regionally.

These free workshops were made possible with funding from Create NSW and were held across multiple locations:
Monday, 14th August – Narrabri (Crossing Theatre)
Thursday, 17th August – Quirindi (Currabubula Memorial Hall)
Monday, 28th August – Armidale (UNE SRI, NOVA)
Thursday, 31st August – Glen Innes (Town Hall)
