A day of celebration of Aboriginal culture in Moree
The Blak Markets came to Moree for the First time ever in 2023! Arts North West proudly partnered to deliver this event on Sunday 29 October 2023 at the Aboriginal Sculpture walk at Jellicoe Park. The event featured over 20 First Nations Artists from throughout the New England North West as well as an accompanying festival program of culture and performance from local talent.
Blak Markets stallholders sold a range of authentic and handmade artworks, clothing, jewellery, homewares and bushfoods and this event was a wonderful collaboration of community and creatives.
First Hand Solutions Aboriginal Corporation is partnering with the local Aboriginal community to deliver the Moree Blak Markets are are supported by AES, Arts North West and the Department of Regional NSW.
Arts North West’s participation is funded by Create NSW and the Australian Government’s Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support program.
