Looking Both Ways is a study of creative inspiration and the interplay of text and image. Artist Angus Nivison and writer Sophie Masson will lead and facilitate a creative roundtables at the New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM), pairing artists and writers from the New England North West to participate in a skill sharing, collaborative experience, to explore and discuss text and image interplay.

Participant outcomes will be new work created to be shared and discussed by the group. In addition, Sophie Masson and Angus Nivison will collaborate to create work for a 2022 exhibition at NERAM, also titled Looking Both Ways.

The Looking Both Ways project partnerships were documented in this e-book. Both Artists and Writers give their impressions of the workshop, the experience, and how it impacted their own practice
