Arts North West Triennial Business Plan 2010 - 2012 As a regionally based cultural organisation, Arts North West acknowledges the traditional Aboriginal custodians of the land in the New England North West region of New South Wales. Vision: To provide a region where arts activity is integral to the vitality and development of our communities. Mission: To build community capacity in the ANW region through supporting creative activity. Arts North West was established in 1996 as a Regional Arts Development Program and established as an independent Regional Arts Board in 1997. The program receives financial support from Arts NSW and twelve local governments in the New England North West region. Arts North West supports the development of arts and culture regionally and is involved in the development of regional projects and initiatives. Arts North West recognises the support of Arts NSW and the following local government bodies in the New England North West: Armidale Dumaresq, Glen Innes Severn, Gunnedah Shire, Guyra Shire, Gwydir Shire, Inverell Shire, Moree Plains Shire, Narrabri Shire, Liverpool Plains Shire, Tamworth Regional, Tenterfield Shire, Uralla Shire and Walcha Council. Arts North West is assisted by the NSW Government through Arts NSW.
